Communications and social media

Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand (WANZ) is committed to good behaviour practices in all our communications, including social media. These practices respect the public giving feedback and making enquiries about WANZ and to WANZ about Wikipedia and related projects and topics. The good behaviour practices have clear boundaries to enable a safe and healthy environment for WANZ representatives undertaking communications.

We welcome all contributions to WANZ and look forward to hearing from you. It is expected that all communications with WANZ representatives will be undertaken in a respectful manner, in accordance with our Safe spaces policy (currently in development). Unreasonable conduct will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and while all efforts will be made to resolve the matter accordingly, WANZ reserves the right to limit and/or cease communications should they no longer support a safe and healthy environment.

It is important to note that many WANZ representatives are volunteers or work limited hours, and all have significant commitments of their own. As such, communications will occur based on the availability of WANZ representatives.

We administer social media accounts to communicate our research, activities and other relevant research to our audiences. Please refer to our Social media terms of use.
